I did some rough research, and found this:

Alanson Sweet, son of Jonathan and Ruth Nichols. Jonathan b. abt. 1748 d. 1806

Jonathan was son of David b. July 23, 1716 N. Kingston, RI; d. 1805 Beekman, Dutchess, NY; m. Mary 1720-1801

He was son of: John b. 3/4/1684 East Greenbush, Kent, RI (I am not sure if this is East Greenbush or East Greenwich); d. 1731; m. Catharine Whitford b. 1684; known as “the weaver”

He was the son of: Henry b. 1662 in Warwick, Kent, RI; m. 1749 Attleboro, Bristol, MA; m. Mary Andrews

He was son of: John b. 1620 Medbury, Devonshire, England; d. 1677 Warwick, Kent, RI; m. Elizabeth Jeoffries 1629-1684

He was son of John b. 1579 Wales; d. 1637 Providence, RI; m. Mary Periam

This was found on Ancestry.com, a tree submitted by Jim Dayton of Texas. No email address.

    Hope this helps. – Tina
