Worden b: July 29, 1744 and his wife Sarah Brayton b: May 04, 1748. They were the first Worden’s in NY emigrating from Connecticut and Sarah emigrated with 4 sons to Prospect NY.

    Additional info:

    John H. Worden (1744 – 1794)

John H. Worden son of William and Amy Wilcox was born in 27 July 1744 in Stonington, Connecticut. He served in the Revolutionary War from Stonington, Connecticut. He married Sara Ann Brayton (born in 1745 and probably in Vermont). According to the 1770 census they were living in Vermont and in 1780 census they were living in Stephentown, New York. He died sometime between the 1780 census and in 1794 when his wife moved to Prospect. John H and Sarah Brayton had the following children:

John L remained in the Remsen/Prospect area.

Isaac was born in 1777 and died in 1856 in Prospect, New York

William “Billy” Wilcox Worden born 28 February 1775

Edmund was born in 1 April 1779 in Highland, New York, married Sara and had no children (another Genealogy disputes that he had no children)

Joseph migrated to Scriba, New York

    Sara Ann.

I am very interested in th Worden’s of Stephentown. John H Worden and wife Sara Brayton Worden lived in Monmouth Co. New Jersey before moving to N.Y. I have their child as Silence Worden b. between 1784-88. possibly Sara Ann. i have most of her history and family records until today.
I have been looking for them to no avail until this posting.
    Can we correspond?
